This manual helps project staff to identify all the critical components of their suicide prevention projects, to clarify their thinking about their work, and to build a clear understanding of the rationale behind their activities. A simple ‘step-by-step’ procedure is set out for identifying appropriate indicators. Practical examples of how to apply the procedure to particular suicide prevention programs are provided. Funded projects are diverse and multi-faceted so individualised project evaluation plans that fit into a larger common framework need to be developed.
