Tuesday, December 1, 2015 is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving not getting. #GivingTuesday is a global movement, which encourages businesses and individuals to support a local not for profit organisation which delivers value to their community. December 1 is also World AIDS Day, designed to raise awareness across the world about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS with the vision of Getting to Zero: Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS related deaths.

YEAH is passionately committed to support young people to eradicate the transmission of HIV and other STI’s through safe sex knowledge sharing and practices. We’re asking our community to consider giving to our signature program AGENTS OF YEAH this #GivingTuesday and World AIDS Day (or anytime leading up to and during the giving season).

AGENTS OF YEAH, provides direct peer to peer sexual health education training and support to young people. Graduates from the Agents of YEAH program deliver sexual health workshops at high schools and promote safe sex practices at youth events in their local communities. YEAH has an active network of over 120 trained youth sexual health peer educators in 5 cities around Australia:  Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth

The AGENTS OF YEAH service is provided to the Australian community for free but requires donations to respond to increase demand for its services in 2016.  Every workshop costs approximately $70. YEAH would like to raise at least $5,000 by December 1, 2015 to support our program reach more young people in 2016. Please see this flyer for more information about AGENTS OF YEAH.

Please consider a donation to help us reach our goal and join the social media conversation #GivingTuesday & #worldaidsday to let others know about your support.  Or if you’d like to offer some time to YEAH – we’d be thrilled to meet you and work with you – click here to read about volunteer opportunities.
