In July 2014, Melbourne will play host to the 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014). This will be the largest health conference to ever be held in Australia, with an estimated 20,000 local and international health professionals, community representatives and political leaders expected to attend.
AIDS 2014 will be the first International AIDS Conference in history to emphasize moving toward the end of AIDS and a HIV free generation, and none of this can be achieved without young people’s leadership.
Before you decide to apply to join a MYF subcommittee, we recommend you have a read of the background information we have put together to help you understand a little more about the International AIDS Conference, what to expect and the role that young people have been contributing to this global meeting in recent years.
